The Buenos Aires Experience

Buenos Aires, Argentina will be the home of our newest Musical Sojourn this November.  We invite you to an intimate gathering of world-class musicians and 100 music lovers in this sensational and lively South American cultural epicenter.

Enjoy six epic days of artistic collaborations filled with delightful spontaneous musical moments in and around the city.

Members of Railroad Earth, Trey Anastasio Band, Fruition, ALO, Umphrey's McGee, Los Lobos, and more will lead their own sets and join in with others, culminating in a massive Everyone Orchestra super jam with Argentinian musicians to round out the week.  

Our home base for the weekend, Hotel Anselmo sits within the beautiful and artistic neighborhood of San Telmo. Original architecture with historic mansions, cobbled streets, and patios with fountains help define this bustling hub. Plaza Dorrego, directly across the street offers a daily street market, tango performances, and live music to help further envelope all of us in the fabric of this Argentinian capital.

A theater, a church, a tango venue, a palace, and our homebase of Hotel Anselmo are among the unique settings where you can look forward to experiencing unforgettable magic. You'll have time to explore the art, history, museums and shops of San Telmo, with support from our local friends as translators and guides. We will build and expand our community—maximizing the potential for joy and connectedness—by creating cross-cultural musical experiences with our Argentinian musician friends in Buenos Aires.

  • • All rates are per person.
    • Payment Plan - A 50% payment is due at the time of booking.  An additional 25% is due by May 1, 2024. The final 25% is due by August 1, 2024.  All payments shall be made by Credit Card. Declined payments must be rectified within 48 hours or be subject to a $35 Declined Payment Fee and, after three days, possible cancellation.
    • Cancellations & Refund Policy - All reservations are fully refundable for 24 hours after your initial booking. No refunds will be issued after September 1, 2024. Cancellations after 24 hours and before September 1, will be subject to cancellation fees that increase as the trip gets closer. See our terms and conditions for the fee schedule. No refunds will be issued for those who do not show up to the event, regardless of reason. 
    • Travel Insurance - This trip and event has a very strict cancellation policy and highly recommends that all guests purchase travel insurance. See our travel insurance section below for more details.
    • Sojourn Postponement/Cancellation - If the sojourn is postponed, you will have the option to rollover your registration or to receive a refund. If the event is cancelled and not rescheduled (ex: Covid Restrictions), you will receive a refund.

  • The airport is Ministro Pistrarini International Airport, also known as Ezeiza International Airport (EZE). The airport is 30 minutes from Hotel Anselmo.

    • Check-in is at 3 pm on Monday, November 4.

    • Checkout is at 12 pm on Sunday, November 10.

    Music will start at 7 pm on November 4 and continue through Saturday, November 9. There will be no music programming on Sunday, November 10.

    • Your passport must be valid for 6 months after your travel dates.

    TIPS

    • Argentina doesn’t require a visa for tourists staying less than 90 days.

    • Ubers are widely available at the airport. We do not recommend you rent a car while in Buenos Aires.

    • All major US credit cards are accepted in Buenos Aires.

    • For guests arriving from the US, electrical outlets will need an adapter.

    • The tap water in Buenos Aires is safe to drink and of course can be used for cooking, bathing, etc. Locals tend to drink the tap water, but it has a high mineral content which can cause upset stomachs in travelers who aren't used to it.

    •November is the best month to visit Buenos Aires as the weather is warm (76°F/62°F) and the blossom of jacaranda trees turns the city streets purple.

    •In most restaurants in Argentina, a 10 percent tip to the waiter is required. Always check your bill and if 10% is not included, please leave a 10% tip. If your service is excellent, feel free to add an additional tip.

  • Travel insurance is not included in our Musical Sojourn prices. We recommend that you purchase insurance and recognize you have many options of providers. Each year there have been people who have needed to cancel for a wide variety of reasons, so we highly recommend it.

    While travel insurance can be purchased just about any time prior to your departure, the sooner you purchase a plan, the more it can cover, as there are time-sensitive benefits that can be applied (ie coverage for pre-existing conditions, optional Cancellation for Any Reason (CFAR) upgrade *if eligible). To have access to the maximum coverage available, it is generally recommended to purchase a trip protection plan within 10 days of making your initial trip payment of any kind for this trip (i.e. flights, packages, tours... whichever is made first) AND prior to making your final major pre-trip booking payment.

  • Packages are priced per person and range from $4,300 to $6,000 US Dollars with no additional fees added.

    You have the option to pay in full or enter a payment plan. The payment plan requires a 50% payment due at the time of booking.  An additional 25% is due by April 15, 2024.  The final 25% is due by July 15, 2024.

  • Yes, there is a place on the booking site to split the cost with your travel mate.

    Financial responsibility can also be split after the reservation is booked.

    All attendees are required to have an account in our registration system and you will be able to split the cost with another registered guest.

  • You can expect to cover your own expenses for anything not included in your travel package. This includes airfare, local ground transportation, additional meals, shopping and alcohol. Note: Most of our venues are walking distance from our HQ and Uber in Buenos Aires is inexpensive and very safe and reliable.

  • An account is your personal profile.

    You need an account in order to book your reservation and everyone attending will need an account in order to check in.

    You can update your reservation, make payments, add or change your guest, find the event’s Terms & Conditions, and more through your account

  • This is a community event and by design we want everyone to stay at our home base and partner hotels. If you have a special request to stay elsewhere during the event, please contact us at info@musicalsojourns.com and we will address on a per case basis.

  • The event is generally programmed for adults, but it is open to anyone age twelve or older. Children under twelve may attend only with the express consent of EO Worldwide. Regardless of age, all participants are required to have a valid passport.

  • The Musical Sojourn will be in compliance with local guidelines regarding masking and vaccinations and we will comply with any requirements imposed by Argentina’s governments. No refunds will be given to guests who wish to cancel their trip over concerns over Covid-19. We recommend that guests purchase travel insurance to protect the cost of their trip.

    If the sojourn is postponed you will be given the opportunity to roll your reservation to the next event or cancel for a refund. If the Event is cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions, your purchase will be refunded.
